ABOUT ME

James Knights is a retired FBI Special Agent with stints in Moscow, Cairo, and Iraq.  He received a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, an M.A. from the University of Chicago, and is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Air Command and Staff college.  His paternal great-great-grandfather served with Company E, 6thMassachusetts Militia Infantry.  Another great-great-grandfather was a “Bluenose” sea captain from Windsor, Nova Scotia. Knights is a member of The Society for Women and the Civil War (www.SWCW.org).

A native of New England, he resides in southwestern Pennsylvania with his wife and honey bees. He has authored several published articles on law enforcement recruiting, including the valuable role of women as investigators. The Benjamin’s Field trilogy was his first foray into fiction writing. Soldier Girl Blue is his fourth novel.
